y bülbül is the solo project of turkish/british multi-instrumentalist yiğit bülbül, currently based in london, uk. defying easy categorisation with his music, he's so far released two lps on the multi-faceted german label pingipung together with a lathe cut 7" between the two full-lengths.

​more introspective compared to his deliriously psychedelic debut fever (2020), the artist explores ambient, dub and kosmische soundscapes in collaboration with percussionist yumurta in his latest record not one, not two (2022).

​y bülbül's live setup consists of synths, drum machines, sequencers/loopers as well as occasional guests on stage. whilst performing, he takes the essence of tracks from his kaleidoscopic discography and reimagines them in an improvised fashion, live-dubbing/rearranging/mix-and-matching them in cut-up style: always psychedelic, mostly hypnotic, seldom predictable.
