is an Australian power trio fronted by Graham Clise (Annihilation Time, Lecherous Gaze, Rot TV, Witch). With Equal parts motor city proto punk and feedback drenched fuzz on the darker side of psychedelia, Stepmother plays anthems for the poor depraved sickos and rock n roll miscreants. With influences ranging from Blue Cheer & The Pink Fairies to Nervous Eaters & The Damned.

Rob Heron & The Tea Pad Orchestra (UK),

nach ihrem furiosen Gastspiel beim Hillbilly Babylon im vergangenen Mai kehren die fünf Geordies zurück mit ihrem North Eastern Swing aus Newcastle Upon Tyne: Ob Jazz, Country oder Rock'n Roll, Rob Heron & The Tea Pad Orchestra mischen munter Einflüsse von Musikern wie Tom Waits, Hank Williams und Django Reinhardt. Dabei entsteht Musik, die in die Beine geht und gute Laune macht. Der Name der Band geht übrigens zurück auf die Zeit der Oldtime-Jazz Orchester.

Die Band mit den undurchsichtigen Cover-Versionen überrascht und erheitert das Publikum mit eigenwilligen Interpretationen von Hits aus den letzten drei Jahrzehnten. Mit zwei Gitarren, Bass, Schlagzeug und oft mehrstimmigem Gesang wird ordentlich gerockt.
Langweilige Schnulzen werden aufgepeppt und überladene Pop-Hymnen entschlackt. Vertraute Ohrwürmer klingen plötzlich ganz ungewohnt.
