spielen Deutschpunk in seiner besten Form und reihen sich perfekt nach den PUBLIC TOYS über THE REVOLVERS bis hin zu HOTEL ENERGIEBALL ein, allesamt mit der unverkennbaren Handschrift von Uwe Umbruch. Straighter Punkrock, ohne großartige, unnütze Schnörkel, aber trotzdem immer mit der nötigen Abwechslung. Gitarre, Bass und Schlagzeug und Orgel, mehr braucht es nicht. Gute Musik kann so einfach sein.
Die Melodien können einiges und bleiben spätestens nach der dritten Runde im Kopf hängen. Inhaltlich wird auch alles geboten, nämlich eine klare Haltung gegen Homophobie und Rassismus und erst recht gegen konservativen Punk. ...

is a woman-fronted punk band led by drummer Maureen Joyce. She takes on the synth in this minimalist, high-energy new wave project alongside Jake Schott (guitar), Adam Atkinson (bass), and Mario Slagle (drums). Based in Cleveland/Akron, PAL leans into its weirdo roots and takes inspiration from hometown heroes like DEVO and The Waitresses, writing songs with melodies that people are finding “dangerously addictive.” PAL is a new, vibrant group that’s more than ready to make a name for themselves in the world of punk.

Ihre Musik ist zu punkig für den Blues – und zu bluesig für den Punk. Aber trotzdem stehen Punks und Blues-Liebhaber bei ihren Konzerten im Publikum.
Ihr Sound ist dreckig und roh wie eh und je – Rock’n’Roll und Blues verschmelzen mit einer gehörigen Portion Punkrock-Attitüde zu einem Garagen-Sound zwischen Little Richard und The Sonics. Es ist ein wahres Hörvergnügen!
Aus dem grundsoliden Fundament aus Schlagzeug und Bass ragen die treibenden Gitarren und prägnanten Mundharmonika Sounds heraus, darüber thront das kraftvoll rotzige Organ des Sängers Moritz Zergiebel. Einfach genial!

Das erste offizielle Album „Second hand“ erschien 2016 auf dem Indie-Label des Toten Hosen Schlagzeugers Vom Ritchie. Seitdem tourt die Band unentwegt durch die Clubs und über die Festival-Bühnen der Republik und des benachbarten Auslands und untermauert ihren inzwischen legendären Ruf als formidable Live-Band.

2024 veröffentlichten die Kölner ihr drittes Album “Shake It Up“. Als Gäste konnten für das Album hochkarätige Musiker gewonnen werden. DIE TOTEN HOSEN Gitarrist KUDDEL spielte bei den Songs „Haltet mal die Fresse“ und „Amphetamin“ mit. Sein Kollege ELF von SLIME steuert bei dem Track „LKA“ seine Gitarren-Parts bei. Dazu gesellt sich bei zwei weiteren Songs („Don’t Tell Mama“ und „Shake It Up“) TORBEN WESCHE (u.a. King Khan & His Shrines) am Saxophon.

From a ridge in the Ohio River Valley, on a front porch where Kentucky’s visible through the winter’s bare trees, Joe's Truck Stop conspires over a smoking blend of Bluegrass, Honky Tonk, Western Swing, and whatever else finds itself inhaled and manifested by way of a wood box and steel wire...Years of digesting so much of the Country Blues lexicon and traveling the country learning the numerous styles of fiddlers, writers, and travelers alike has led to the original music that comes by way of Joe’s Truck Stop.
The songs are stories of living on the road, love, temptation, heartbreak, family, banjo pickin' tobacco spittin' women, gas station sushi, and much more...
We've released a handful of self recorded demos and three studio albums, the Free Showers EP (2014), American Dreams (2018), and, Yonderings, released in April 2022, currently receiving positive praise from numerous outlets and publications.
